The construction of the new Balance boards will be something new in the kiteboarding industry.
For 2009 they will have the newest aero-space composites and materials.
With this technology, Balance will achieve greater flex-weight-durability ratio than last year model.
So we can expect better performance from the boards.
The materials used in our upcoming line will consist among others of :
Tri and Cuatri-axial fiberglass (the most durable f-glass available in the market)
carbon flex control from tip to tip to reach an accurate and responsive flex trim
honeycomb combined with durable wood core that is placed in the center of the board giving it that lively and nice feel along the whole board length, plus extra durability.
TITANAL, a new material, never used in the kiteboard industry (lighter than Titanium)
There are some major exciting changes next year for all 3 models of Instinct. Rob has taken over the Kitesurf design so he has put his all into every aspect of the 09 designs. Due to popular demand all three models are now four line designs but Rob has managed to keep the Ozone feeling you all love and no annoying pulleys required!!! We are over the moon with all the new improvements. We have put all your feedback into the 09’s so you’ll be impressed with the changes, everything from the kite design, handling, safety system through to the bar and new bags. Nothing is left un-touched for the 09’s. The Instincts also show off our new distinctive colour scheme that we now have on all new kites from Ozone.
For 09 we release the following in Jan :
LIGHT XC - The ultimate entry level kite but finding favour with expert riders/wake-stylers/wave riders.
SPORT+ -The All Terrain freestyle kite – our most popular model for intermediate to Expert riders.
EDGE RX - The ultimate high aspect send you crazy high kite that puts smiles on even the most hardened Kite expert. Chip Wasson wins pretty much every race he enters with this kite…
We will post more information within the next few weeks and keep you updated as we enter the final stage of tweaking the designs. One advantages for Ozone is that we have our own factory and do not OEM our products. This means that you get the latest cutting edge designs promptly once all out testing is finished. Thanks to us managing/owning our factory we literally finish the design and the production starts and ships 1 week later. We are proud of our approach to kite design and production as it is also a sustainable approach to kite manufacturing.
The 2009 Balance boards are almost hitting the market.
The new models will be available in 4 sizes: Diamond 130×38,5 - recommended for lighter riders and girls (40 to 65 kgs) Code 133×39 - For riders with weight between 65 and 80 kgs Onieva Signature 135×39,5 - The version for heavier riders(70 to 90kgs) and wider stance (40-44-48cms) recommended for lighter riders and girls (40 to 65 kgs) PetrTyushkevich Signature 137×40 : This model will have wider stances (42-46-50cm) and will be perfect for the hardcore frestylers.
Once again Balance boards will be technologically advanced.

Ozone Instinct 2009 Kites are due for release in January!
The 2009 model Ozone Instincts continue with the same naming structure as 2007 and 2008, with an Ozone Instinct Light, Sport and Edge.
Bringing the whole Ozone range in line with similar artwork and designs the Ozone 2009 kitesurfing kites will share similar graphics to the 2009 Snowkites and the new Ozone Yakuza GT .
The kites will feature a new tip profile aiming to achieve a greater direct feel to the kite through the bar. The bar system is getting another upgrade, still retaining the moulded Ozone chicken loop it will now have a through the bar flag out safety system.
