29th Latvia Ice and Snow Sailing World Championship Finished!
The 29th Ice and Snow Sailing World Championship (ISSWC 2009) is over! Many thanks to all participants, coaches, families, organizers, judges and everyone else, who gave great contribution to make the event happen!
Looking forward to see you all in next Ice and Snow Sailing World Championship in Quebec, Canada celebrating 30th anniversary of WISSA World Championships!
ISSWC 2009 Final results
After dynamic and fast races all week long for all 111 participants form 14 countries, 29th Ice and Snow Sailing World Championships is officially closed until next year. There have been five World Champion Cups, 15 medal sets and more than 30 special nominations presented in the awards ceremony of ISSWC 2009.
Outstanding performance has shown Alexander Larrson from Sweden, winning all disciplines in wings class, getting 2 World Champion Cups. Russian riders stayed unbeatable in kite class nearly in all divisions. In the classical sailboard course and marathon discipline young riders from Poland showed technical and fast performance, but in sailboards slalom discipline surfers from Latvia demonstrated what it is all about!
