KPWT is proud to announce the Essaouira Kiteboard World Cup from the 6th until the 11th of

July 2010. After 6 times since 2000 Essaouira welcomes back the KPWT for a Wave and Freestyle Event within the 2010 season.

This event will be announced as a 3 star Slam event 30 000€ Prize money. The two disciplines being held will be Freestyle, and Waves, Senoirs and Juniors divisions for Freestyle.

The KPWT is sanctioned by the International Kiteboarding Federation (IKF). The riders all are excited to enjoy the competition and to make that push for all the KPWT Freestyle World Championship title 2010 and Wave World Championship 2010.

Essaouira boasts miles of superb sandy beach with wooded hills standing tall on the skyline to the east. It dominates a vast bay with the beach stretching south for about two miles to an even older, ruined fortification dating back to Portuguese occupation. Here the Mediterranean and the Atlantic Oceans merge to create two strikingly different coastlines.
