For the First day, the KPWT Santa Cruz Ocean Spirit Wave Masters 2010 was lucky with the wind. The Ocean Spirit Wave Masters 2010 have been completed today with 25knots and 2 meters Waves

The main focus of the day was definitely the Wave Masters First Round competition. The day started at 2pm with the skippers meeting. At 4pm, all the competitors pushed their talent hard to go through their heats.

On the men side, many heats were actually very close.

The Final was 100% Portuguese : Bruno Mello / Nuno Figueiredo.

Antoine Auiol (FR), Grohmann (GER) Silva (PT), really performed nice heats in this Wave Masters first round but nevertheless the Portuguese Nuno Figugieredo Wave Champion 2010 really flew over the Santa Cruz Spot. His victory was obvious ! Perfect waves, surf, and high difficulties. There was absolutely no hesitation about his victory.

The program for the week-end is very hectic with great conditions. No time to rest. The wind is programmed like a ventilator and keeps blowing all day long.
