KSP announces “One Off” World Championship on Maui

20 September 2013 | 6:02 pm

The KSP yesterday informed their riders, members and partners that the event scheduled to take place at the end of October (formerly Puerto Rico tour stop) had to be canceled.

After the unlucky start of the 2013 season, the unsuccessful negotiation with organizers and government bodies in Brazil and Ecuador and the fundraising campaign, KSP announces “One Off” World Championship on Maui from Nov 22-Dec 1:

“As a result, we will have to concentrate the KSP to the final event on Maui this year – which for me means that we will put all our efforts into a solid event there as well as the 2014 tour schedule and longer term sponsors for 2014.” said Nicholas Thiede, KSP World Tour Manager.

Way to go! I don’t understand why it always has to be a tour anyway? A one-event championship is easier for the riders, cheaper to organize and more interesting for those who might want to travel to an important event.

One-event championships in Cape Town 2014!

You need at least, a left and right point break, and some beachbreak wave… look the WCT…
