24 July 2010 | 7:32 am

First windless day in 7 days

Today marks the seventh day of competition here in St. Peter-Ording, Germany. Unfortunately there was no wind today, but it was the perfect weather to run SUP races otherwise known as Stand-Up Paddleboard races. The sun was out just as it has been for the past few days with scorching hot record-breaking temperatures.

World Tour crew members such as PKRA World Tour manager Mauricio Toscano was out on the water to have a few minutes of time off from his busy working schedule. Toscano finished in 4th place while PKRA international judge Antoine Jaubert finished in 2nd. The 2009 world freestyle champion Kevin Langeree crossed the finish line first. German racer Christian Rogge put his racing skills to the test and seemed to work for him landing in 3rd place. Event organizer Mathias Nuemann is a big fan of SUP racing. He was out on the water showing his interest and support for the sport. Norwegian racer, Kari Schibevaag was the only girl to compete in the SUP race showing her support, great personality and friendly smile throughout the race.
