Comments on: Flexifoil Ion 4

Both my friend and I have just bpought a new flexifoil ion 4 8.5 meter.

Over the poast few days we have both dropped the kite into the sea, and been unable to relaunch it. This despite the fact that it was blowing 25 knots.

Anybody got any tips on getting this kite back into the air? Dont want to have to swim to shore every time the kite goes down

I have an Ion3, 10.5m and am looking to buy a 7m Ion4. Does anyone has any feedback from this kite? I didnt have the chance to try the Ion4 but really love my Ion3 so Im hoping The Ion4 would be even better.
Also, is the bar really different or would it be possible to use the Ion3 bar on the Ion4?

The Ion 4 re-launch is perfect, we have tested it in various conditions and re-launches no problem. Re-launch can be done by simply pulling on one of the back lines and the kite moves to the edge of the window with no effort, alternatively you can pull on the de-power strap and the kite rolls over and moves to the edge of the window “no problem”.
We have also managed to re-launch the kite backwards off the water, this method also works really well on the new AH PRO

If you are in the market for some new gear, don’t look any further…… Flexi Ion 4, you will not be disappointed.

what do you mean by “relaunch is a pain” cant you just ride it with 5 line on?

What about exceptional relaunch ala CAB and Ozone. The Flexi kites are great but relaunch is a pain.
