From 21st to 24th of March the Surfrider Foundation Europe launches the 18th edition of the Ocean Initiatives. This year as well as the beach cleanup operations, the Ocean Initiatives will also attempt to promote awareness of aquatic waste problems, to encourage a change in behavior and also to provoke evolution of legislation.

We love our coast and beaches, we kitesurf, surf and SUP all year long so we decided we must participate in a clean- up. To do it well Kitemovement partnered up with Tak- Portuguese kitesurf news website. We will be cleaning up our local kitesurf beach- Praia da Nova Vaga, situated just 20 minutes away from Lisbon. It will take place at 15h00 on 24th of March so if you happen to be around come and give as a hand, we need your help! And bring your friends! If not, well, you should definitely organize a clean up at your spot as soon as possible.
