Forest Bakker in The Moment
A movie for one of Forrest’s sponsors, Masmovil, it was filmed this summer in Holland, Belgium and France.
Forest Bakker, 4est for short, is a young kiteboarder who received the Rookie of the Year Award at the PKRA Kiteboard World Championships 2008. Forest lives in Tarifa, Southern Spain.
Nice kiteboarding but very bad for the kitesport in Holland. In the movie you see Forest with a kite in the air walking around on the public road near the spot in Holland. Volunteers from the Dutch kiteboard ass. ( NKV) has spent a lot of freetime to open up that kitespot. One off the big problems there was the argument that kiteboarders where dangerous for the traffic. The first bad reactions from authorities about this action ( advertised / published with a movie on the internet
) has reached the people from the NKV. Was this a well aimed action to close that kitesurfspot? Then you almost get your goal. A pitty that the fun and succes off one sponsord kiteboarder is more important then the work from many people to open up ( and keep it open) this kiteboard location.

A pity that he had to walk on the road. This is really NOT DONE. Pro’s or semipro’s and their sponsors should be aware of local regulations. We have a hard time keeping our spots open, and an action like this could spoil it for hundreds maybe thousand of kiteboarders in our country. Shame on you forrest!
You should set a positive example and not this is not one of them.
